Our Pastor

     Elder Julius Earl Wright, Sr. has been called the “Preaching Machine”. He was born and raised in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. As a child he attended, the Church of Jesus Christ at 912 Catalpa Street where the Late Bishop A.J. Street was pastor. It was at the Church of Jesus Christ where, Elder Wright received his teachings in the principles of the doctrine.

     In 1980, Elder Wright was baptized in Jesus Name and was shortly thereafter filled with the Holy Ghost. Elder Wright served in many capacities under the leadership of Bishop Street, as Young People’s President, Sunday School Teacher, Treasurer, Deacon, Assistant Sunday School Superintendent, Choir member and Musician.

     Elder Julius Wright assisted his uncle, Elder Samuel Jones in establishing Grace Apostolic Faith Ministry in Pine Bluff, AR. Continuing the work of the gospel under the leadership of Elder Jones, he was called to the ministry. He labored diligently with college students and being an armor bearer to his leader. He felt the call of the Lord to help the ministry in England, AR. In 1993, Elder Wright served as Assistant Pastor under the leadership of Elder Henry Rainey, Sr. at First Pentecostal Church in England, AR.

     In October of 1995, the spirit of the Lord led Elder Wright back to Pine Bluff for the work of the ministry. The Lord provided a building at 4901 West Short Third Street. He served as Pastor, musician, van driver, lawn caretaker and all areas of the ministry. No job was too small for him and remains commitment to this ideal today. The ministry held services of Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, and Worship Services in a one room building.

     In January 2008, the Lord gave Elder Wright the vision of an expansion for the ministry and he communicated it to the congregation and that it would be a miracle in the middle of a recession. The ministry experiencing growing pains worshiped at a local hotel for eighteen months. The members supported the vision and were blessed with a new edifice in May of 2010.

     His educational credits include a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in 1996, a graduate of Aenon Bible College in 2009. He was ordained a licensed elder of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World in October 2009.

     Elder Wright is a dedicated husband to his devoted wife, Sister Charline Wright of 34 years and father of his three sons: Julius, Jr., Jarvis, and Rodney.

     Elder Wright devotion to the gospel and his meek and quiet spirit emulates the call of God for a shepherd. He is committed to upholding the Apostolic Doctrine and feeding God’s people the word of God so that they may be a member of the body of Christ who have made themselves ready for the soon coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
